Twilight Weekend Omnium
New for 2026….
The Twilight-Hill Climb Weekend Omnium!
OMNIUM POINTS DETAILS
For 2026 we are finally joining forces with Boise Twilight and offering up an Omnium style competition for riders of both events!
Just to be clear, you DO NOT have to ride Boise Twilight to ride the Hill Climb. You can still come as you are and ride the Hill Climb for fun, for a challenge or to prove you have the meddle to put your pedal to the metal. This Omnium is specifically for those riders planning to ride both days.
The points format will be based in the following manner to pro-rate Twilight results based on difficulty:
P-1-2 (M or W) earns the number of points for a win as there are riders on the start list. So if 88 riders ride the Pro Men category, then the winner gets 88 points.
Cat. 2/3 is worth 75%. So if 60 riders compete in the Cat. 2/3 field a win is worth 45 points.
Cat.2/3/4 W is worth 75%.
Masters is worth 75%.
Cat 4 is worth 60%
Cat 5 50%.
Juniors 50%.
Now for the Hill Climb, the points are awarded based on the finish placing. If there are 150 riders in your gender, the winner gets 150 points, second 149, third 148, so on and so forth.
No points awarded on specific age group placements.
Using the above points guidelines, a rider gets 17th in the Pro field (out of 88 riders) in Twilight and earns 71 points and then gets 10th in the Hill Climb field of 150 riders equaling 211 points total. A Cat. 2/3 winner of Twilights gets third in the Hill Climb and gets 147 points for a total of 192 points.
Tie-Breaker Rules (if GC total points are tied):
1. Higher placement on Hill Climb wins. Easy enough.
