Free Group Training Ride Dates Led by RF Foundations/George’s Cycles Pro Team For 2026!

Dates are 6/13, 6/20, 6/27 and 7/4.

The rides are structured as follows

10:15 AM… @ George’s Cycles Downtown

  • A Group + B Group Training

  • A Group will ride as far up as where the road becomes wet or snow-covered each week (or group dynamics)

  • B Group will progressively train each Saturday building up to the full climb

    • Week 1- 4 Miles (Aprx Dry Creek Trailhead)

    • week 2 - 8 Miles (Aprx Stark Mansion)

    • week 3 - 12 Miles (Aprx Lower Stackrock)

    • week 4 - 16 miles Simplot Lodge

  • B GROUP IS RIDING TOGETHER TO THE BASE OF THE CLIMB, THEN RIDING YOUR OWN PACE TO TURN AROUND. THE RIDE LEADER WILL FLOAT AMONG RIDERS. ONCE WE GO PAST 8 MILES WE WILL REGROUP AT WATER DROPS WHEN IT GETS WARMER/HOT.

Ben Stein, MS, EP-C is a local endurance coach and cyclist himself. He’s the in-house bike fit expert at George’s Cycles and coaches multiple high performance athletes all over the state. He’s completed the Smoke’n’Fire multiple times and develops interval plans and performs V02 Max tests for athletes regularly. New this year, he is offering a training plan and program for 12 weeks Starting on April 19th!

Not only will this help you prepare for the Hill Climb on July 12th. You will improve your overall health and fitness and feel the difference in every ride!
